Our Story

Isaiah 51:3 (KJV)
For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord ; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

The Lord’s Garden Ministries was born out of prayer in 1996, in the living-room of Ing. And Mrs Kirk Koffi, after a long bout with many diseases, like cancer, lupus and its associating illness, Mrs Lyanne Koffi born Lyanne Nana Gyemsiwaa Grant, found healing in the hands of a Merciful Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ.

She accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as her lord and personal saviour in 1987 and in a covenant with the Lord to serve Him with her family, received the grace of God through situations many don’t survive.

The Koffis moved from Akuse to Akosombo due to the work of Ing. Kirk Koffi with the volta river authority in 1994, little did they know that the move was going to birth a ministry that was to touch millions of people. Mrs Koffi in a desire for prayer invited Rev. E. K Tettey of blessed memory to her house for weekly prayer, the purpose was to help strengthen Rev. Tettey’s church which was floundering, according to his general overseer, Bishop Elijah Anyomi, and for their personal lives, family and for the Akosombo township which Mrs Koffi felt needed a move of god to stop many things she saw morally wrong, and to start prayer in the town.

After almost 2 years of prayer the third person, Benard Adei, also of blessed memory joined them. As the Lord would have it in two weeks 16 people were added to them, the move of God began with healing and deliverances in her living-room with the number increasing weekly.

The group moved to a bush clearing area where the lord continued to add unto them weekly, until they counted 350 people in attendance. The Lord ministered isaiah 51:3 to Mrs Koffi, when she asked him what he wanted her to do with the many people he was bringing her way and what the ministry was to be called, the name The Lord’s Garden Ministry was born out of the revelation of that scripture to her.

For the next five years, the ministry met in the bush as a non-denominational fellowship, then moved to the Akosombo community centre for another five years. The fellowship strengthened the churches in Akosombo as it fed the many who came from different church denominations, today many of the church leaders, elders and deacons in almost all the churches in Akosombo are people who were discipled and trained by the Apostle Lyanne Koffi. The ministry moved to their own building site in 2006.

Mrs Lyanne Koffi was ordained into the ministry in 1999 by Apostle Don Kreamer in Valley Christian Center, Idaho in USA.

The ministry grew in leaps and bounds touching lives in Akosombo and its environs through weekly fellowship meetings characterized by teaching and preaching of the word with a strong deliverance anointing, bringing healing to the sick and restoration to lives. Through crusades, evangelistic programs and outreaches the reverend Lyanne Koffi led a team of 6 pastors to fufill the mandate of God for The Lord’s Garden Ministry.
