[21] Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
FROM THE APOSTLE’S DESK:
Praise be to the Lord Our God, who always causes us to triumph. I thank my God for your lives and the grace He bestowed upon us His Children who are born of His Spirit. The special grace of God given to us to approach Him in prayer is a privilege and a testimony of the goodness of God as our Father. God invites us to come to Him in prayer so that He may hear us and answer us. God wants communion and intimacy with His people so He invites us to draw near to Him in prayer. Prayer is communication with God; we draw close to God in prayer. Jesus encourages us to pray consistently, in the Parable of the unjust Judge in the verse below:
Luke 18:1 (KJV)
[1] And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
We must pray always and not give up in prayer. Prayer is a tried and tested theory, God does hear and answer, as the Psalmist declares:
Psalm 65:2 (KJV)
[2] O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
God does hear and answer prayer, He Himself says:
2 Chronicles 7:14 – 15 (KJV)
[14] If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. [15] Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.
God calls us to the place of prayer, which is an acknowledgment that we cannot do for ourselves the things we are asking of God. Prayer acknowledges God’s divinity and our humanity. When we pray, we are submitting our lives and ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Prayer births results, prayer births miracles. Prayer turns impossibilities into possibilities, because with God nothing is impossible. The power of prayer cannot be downplayed; prayer brings results, James says:
James 5:16 (KJV)
[16] Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Beloved, as I invite and welcome you into this 21 days of “A season of Prayer and Power,” I am fully persuaded that miracles will be birthed from this fasting season, years of stagnation shall be broken, destinies are going to receive reshaping as the Lord answers our prayers. Beloved, put your all into it, for God will be favourable unto His people. Spend more time in prayer than you have done in any other fast. Spend time alone with God and get closer to Him.
I declare upon your life that you are in line for a breakthrough. I release the power and anointing of God upon you for a new season of fulfillment in your life. I prophesy over you that you are going to testify by the end of this year 2019. Kindly observe fasting rules and regulations outlined on the next page and attend the daily fasting breaking sessions, which will be full services with ministrations to the sick, oppressed, needy and those in need of divine interventions. God will answer you. You are blessed!
